Located on the leading edge in the path of development for the community of Pflugerville, Vernagene Mott Elementary School (Elementary School #21) campus is designed in such a way that it will serve the district’s vision to accommodate pedestrian traffic from the future residential developments surrounding the school. The single-story facility is situated on a former corn field adjacent to a PfISD middle school site. The 109,000 square-foot elementary school strictly follows the district’s program requirements for kindergarten through 6th grade students with classrooms that are organized on pods with their own collaboration spaces, a gymnasium, cafetorium with performance stage, library, administrative and supports areas. The school also provides separate outdoor playgrounds that are planned according to the needs of different grade levels.
